What I can sell is either a limited source (a cd or a harddrive or diskspace) or a service (the work it takes to provide the song).

But I can’t sell the bits and bytes, since that is just a numeric pattern and I can have it on my computer without taking it away from someone else.

So, for me, I can only sell a license for private listening or a license to use it in public.”
